Windows Is Weird

I was dragging some files a couple weeks ago from one folder to my desktop and to another one shortly after. I realized it takes longer to drag them one at a time rather than selecting them all and moving them at the same time. I just read the latest PC Magazine yesterday and, oddly enough, John Dvorak was ranting about Windows’s bad multitasking and mentioned this phenomenon with moving files. He says it’s caused because windows is too stupid to realize that what you’re doing is one operation. It sees it as an operation per time you drag so it has to go through more if you drag one at a time. Weird.
